Jody Koppang

Jody Koppang is a professional family counselor from Portland, Oregon. She and her husband are parents to Birdie, a Bichon Frise who hopes to become a therapy dog when she grows up.

Jody’s cards were inspired by honest and candid conversations between Jody and her late friend Joanne. The concept for the art came from the process and philosophy of Kintsugi, or “golden repair” - the Japanese art of mending broken pottery with gold to highlight fractures as part of an object’s intrinsic history. It is felt that these “scars” make the object more refined and they should be displayed with pride.

A portion of the profits for Jody’s cards go to supporting the mental health needs of local communities.
